Bio

Howdy! My name is Suzanne, and I work in Health Promotion at Texas A&M University. I've been in my current position for over two years, and I would say it's my dream job!

Some of my professional roles include:
  • advising two student organizations (the Sexual Health and Relationship Education Campaign and our campus's chapter of the College Diabetes Network)
  • overseeing our wellness living learning community in collaboration with Residence Life
  • managing our Sex in the Dark program, including training of student and staff facilitators
  • co-advising our fledgling peer education group, called Aggie Elevate
  • spearheading non-AOD and non-IVP programming and content for our office

In my spare time, I'm an avid reader and baker. I also enjoy sewing (mostly apparel), and in the last six months I've joined a new workout program that I'm loving. I'm a former roller derby athlete, and since my "retirement" from the sport, I've been able to adopt a dog and concentrate on more areas of wellness in my personal life.
